Dog Spotted in Quad Almost Dubs, Not Quite

Last Thursday, a crowd formed around an animal in the Quad that bore a striking resemblance to the school mascot, Dubs. For a brief moment, students were overjoyed, before realizing that it was actually a different husky entirely. The dog, revealed to be 2-year-old Loki the Siberian husky, strutted about with a Dubs-like confidence that thoroughly confused passersby.

“For a second I was like ‘holy shit, that’s Dubs!’ but then I realized it was just a dog,” said sophomore Adam Forrest. Onlookers could have sworn that the animal was, in fact, the beloved Dubs, but his true supporters could clearly tell the difference.

“I can’t believe they thought that was Dubs,” said senior and Dubs expert Sara Chapman. “That’s obviously just some regular bitch named Luna or something.” When asked to elaborate, Chapman stated that the animal was missing the “it factor” that makes Dubs so radiant and unmistakable.

With so many Alaskan Malamutes running amuck, students are constantly on the lookout, hoping to spot the local celeb but fear being labeled the “boy who cried Dubs.” Though it was not Dubs this time around, students are confident that next time it will be.
